It seems to be necessary to confirm the results from the investigation
s about the influence of different methods of cycle stimulations to re
productive-physiological features in the first announcement of investi
gations under practical conditions. There were 1338 primiparous sows a
nd sows with a higher number of litters. The investigations took place
after 4- and 5-week suckling period in different saisonal periods. Th
e total and living horn piglets were noted and the fertility rate and
the living born piglets per 100 inseminations were calculated Also und
er practical conditions the cycle stimulation only by PMSG with a foll
owing stimulation of ovulation was better then the cycle stimulation b
y 400 i.u. PMSG and 200 i.u. hCG. Primiparous sows always had worse fe
rtility results than sows with a higher number of litters. The sucklin
g period of 4 weeks proved to be better than 5-weeks-period. The insem
inations in winter had higher reproductive results. The fertility afte
r injection of preparation by 400 i.u. PMSG and 200 i.u. hCG showed a
good constancy over the periods of saisons, but at a low level.
