Abstract
This study shows that patients with mitral stenosis have depressed lef t ventricular ejection performance and spherical remodeling of the lef t ventricular cavity, which is more marked in those with atrial fibril lation. These changes have important clinical implications regarding t reatment strategy in patients with mitral stenosis and chronic atrial fibrillation.
