Percutaneous balloon pericardiotomy is effective and less invasive for
the treatment of recurrent pericardial effusion. This study suggests
that the double-balloon method with 1 longer and 1 shorter balloon is
the procedure of choice for percutaneous balloon pericardiotomy.
