Asymptomatic renal masses are increasingly being found during radiogra
phy ordered for other reasons, Unfortunately, radiography cannot alway
s provide precise identification of the masses, some of which are rena
l cell carcinomas. Whether to choose surveillance, surgery, or other t
herapy depends on the tumor and on the patient.
