Abstract
An algorithm for calculating the Compton-detector sensitivity to gamma -radiation with the Monte Carlo method is described. The algorithm is tested for a plane Compton detector. The results of measurements satis factorily agree with the calculation for Co-60 gamma-radiation. The de sign of a small-sized spherical Compton detector is proposed. The resu lts of calculations of the detector spectral sensitivity for a gamma-q uanta energy range of 0.1-10 MeV are presented.
