APPLICATION OF A PILE-UP COMPENSATOR FOR DECREASING DISTORTIONS IN RECORDED TIME SPECTRA

A circuit compensating for pile-up signals Start with, the droop of th e signal Inhibition at the input of a meter of nanosecond time interva ls and removing distortions in recorded time spectra is described. A c ircuit simulating the measuring system dead time, which periodically c reates the pile-up signal Start with the signal droop Inhibition, is u sed to test the operational efficiency of the meter compensator. The m easured results are presented, and recommendations for the utilization of the pile-up compensator are described.
