Kc. Chiu et al., THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PROFILES OF THE ROTOR MAGNET IN AN AQUATIC ACSYNCHRONOUS MOTOR, Journal of applied physics, 81(8), 1997, pp. 4767-4769
The cogging torque of the aquatic ac synchronous motor is sensitive to
the magnetization profiles, the relative angular offset, the magnetic
field strength of the rotor magnet, and the structure of the stator c
ore. With the same magnetic profile of the rotor magnet, the cogging t
orque of the motor is proportional to the trough width of the stator c
ore, For different magnetic profiles of the rotor magnet combined with
the same stator core, the cogging torque of the motor varied markedly
with the magnetic profiles of the rotor magnet. The computed values o
f the cogging torque of the motor are in excellent agreement with the
experimental values. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
