The formation of hydrogen bonds in mineral oil-SAA systems with a mice
llar structure is confirmed by means of IR spectroscopy. The effect of
the nature and content of surface active agents (amides of carbonic a
cids, higher carbonic acids, and Gidrazeks) and the concentration of s
olubilized water on the formation of hydrogen bonds that stabilize mic
elles is analyzed. A mechanism of the formation of hydrogen bonds is c
onsidered, as well as the effect of the character of functional groups
on the thickening efficiency of SAAs.
