Kk. Pushpa et al., VISIBLE LUMINESCENCE STUDIES IN THE INFRARED MULTIPHOTON DISSOCIATIONOF 1,2-DICHLORO-1,1-DIFLUOROETHANE, Chemical physics letters, 279(3-4), 1997, pp. 172-178
A strong visible luminescence was observed in the CO2 laser induced in
frared multiphoton dissociation of 1,2-dichloro-1,1-difluoroethane. Th
e emission observed between 350-750 nm is attributed to electronically
excited carbene CF2Cl-(C) double over dot H. The temporal profile of
this luminescence was studied as a function of laser pulse duration, p
ulse energy, excitation frequency and substrate pressure. A suitable d
issociation mechanism is presented considering various channels of IRM
PD of this molecule. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
