Abstract
We have developed a new technique to measure the ferromagnetic antifer romagnetic exchange biasing (FAEB) energy with relatively small revers ible rotations of the magnetization from the unidirectional easy direc tion. This new technique uses the anisotropic magnetoresistance to det ermine the angle the magnetization makes relative to the easy directio n as a function of an externally applied magnetic field. This techniqu e, based on reversible magnetization changes, gives FAEB energies roug hly twice that of the traditional irreversible magnetization reversal measurements.
