Abstract
A novel shorted patch antenna is presented. The new configuration allo ws for greater spacing between the probe feed and shorting post, and t hus is easier to manufacture than previous versions of this antenna. T he proposed shorted patch also has greater bandwidth and is less sensi tive to fabrication errors. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
