Abstract
A broad X-Ku band T-junction diplexer with high isolation between the two closely separated bands has been designed and manufactured for a s atellite earth station application. The diplexer uses a conventional E -plane T-junction configuration with inductive iris filters. The excel lent performance of the diplexer has been achieved by integrating the design of the T-junction with irises in the filter to enable matching and power-distribution optimization of the complete assembly. The expe rimental results of the diplexer show excellent agreement with the the oretical predictions. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
