Abstract
Reengineering of complex manufacturing systems depends in part on the availability of experts who have well defined and articulated mental m odels of specific problems and how to solve them. In this research, a knowledge-based reengineering model is developed. The model is applied to maintenance problem solving at Miller Brewing Company in Eden plan t, North Carolina.
