Abstract
Pseudostracoderma terricola sp. nov., type of a new genus Pseudostraco derma is described from soil from Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. It is c haracterized by smooth conidia, monoblastic conidiogenus cell, irregul ar repeatedly branched conidiophores and conidial cells forming a comp lex head.The generic characters are compared with the similar genus Os tracoderma Fries (1825).
