Abstract
A new species of Syncarpella, a genus previously reported only on Aste raceae, is described from Ribes of the Grossulariaceae, The anamorph i s a new species and eustromatic genus, Syntholus, whose strongly erump ent conidiomata usually precede the ascomata on a common hypostroma.
