PRESENT PLACE OF CT SCAN IN THE EVALUATIO N OF PERITONEAL CARCINOMATOSIS

CT scan is presently the method of choice in the pre-operative evaluat ion of patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis. The aim of this articl e is to present the results of a personal work concerning the comparis on of CT scan and the surgical data in the diagnosis of peritoneal car cinomatosis and to compare them with data of the literature. Despite t he existence of unavoidable bias related to the retrospective characte ristic of the study, the results confirm the good sensitivity of the s can in the examination of peritoneal carcinomatosis, through it remain s insufficient to do without surgical exploration.
