Abstract
A simple position sensitive scintillator strip detector used in the fo rward detectors in the ZEUS experiment is described. Performance of it s readout electronics utilizing large area 300 mu m P-I-N photodiodes is presented. Good spatial resolution of 3 mm and satisfactory noise c onditions have been achieved at event rates above 1 MHz.
