CHANGED PATTERN OF IMMUNOREACTIVE CYTOKIN INS IN DEHYDRATED GERMINANTS OF WHEAT AND MAIZE

We studied changes in the pattern of immunoreactive cytokinins in dehy drated germinants of wheat and maize using enzyme immunoassay. Drying of maize for 15-30 min sharply decreases the content of zeatin and zea tin riboside, while in wheat zeatin, the content was practically Const ant and the content of zeatin riboside was even slightly increased. In wheat under conditions of water deficiency, concentrations of zeatin nucleotide and zeatin glucoside were decreased and increased, respecti vely, as compared to the control, while concentrations of these two cy tokinins in maize were practically constant both in the control and th e experiment.
