Abstract
The article presents findings of in-line temperature measurement cf po lymer melts during flow in a capillary rheometer. Two industrially rel evant measurement methods are described and sources of potential measu rement errors are discussed. Comments are made about the suitability o f these techniques to measure temperature during processing by injecti on moulding or by extrusion. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
