Abstract
The authors have devoted a good part of their research activities to s tudying primitive wingless Hexapoda, gathered under the name Apterygot a, and are awared of the artificiality of such a grouping. Accordingly , they attempt to clarify the links and gaps between the groups, but m uch more information on recent and fossil specimens is required.
