Abstract
We used mist nets strung above and below the water surface to capture pairs prior to and during nest initiation, and to capture ducklings du ring brood-rearing. We discuss possible modifications of this techniqu e to improve its effectiveness for capturing Surf Scoters and other di ving ducks.
