Abstract
The dielectric constant (epsilon, dielectric loss (tan delta) and cond uctivity (alpha) of LiF-B2O9 glasses with composition of 40 and 60 (mo le %) doped with some transitions metal oxides MnO2, V2O5, CuO (1 mole %) have been measured as a function of frequency in the range 1 to 7 MHz and in the temperature range 30 degrees C to 250 degrees C. The d c conductivity of these glasses has also been measured in the temperat ure range 30-250 degrees C under different d c fields. The results of the present study of dielectric properties and d c conductivity of the se glasses are explained on the basis of different polarisation mechan isms and hopping mechanisms respectively.
