V. Ceric, VISUAL INTERACTIVE MODELING AND SIMULATION AS A DECISION-SUPPORT IN RAILWAY TRANSPORT LOGISTIC OPERATIONS, Mathematics and computers in simulation, 44(3), 1997, pp. 251-261
This paper presents an experience in visual interactive modeling and s
imulation of the railway transportation flows for NATO strategic deplo
yment in Bosnia from Hungary through Croatia. Development of the visua
l interactive model using the ServiceModel software is described, and
simulation abilities of the model are presented. Simulation can be don
e in the planning and interactive mode, and it can include breakdown i
n the railway operation. On the basis of this modeling and simulation
experience, the advantages and disadvantages of using the visual inter
active modeling and simulation of transport networks are discussed.
