Abstract
Scatopsidae communities were studied in nine different localities in S lovakia during the years 1992-1994. A total of 6,442 individuals belon ging to 28 species were collected by means of Malaise traps. Coboldia fuscipes, Ectaetia clavipes and Scatopse notata were found to be eudom inant to dominant species at the majority of investigated localities. The dominance of species, community similarity (QS), diversity (H'), e venness (J') as well as sexual index (SI) and seasonal activity of eud ominant and dominant species were evaluated. Fifteen species are repor ted for the first time from the territory of Slovakia.
