Scatopsidae communities were studied in nine different localities in S
lovakia during the years 1992-1994. A total of 6,442 individuals belon
ging to 28 species were collected by means of Malaise traps. Coboldia
fuscipes, Ectaetia clavipes and Scatopse notata were found to be eudom

The dominance of species, community similarity (QS), diversity (H'), e
venness (J') as well as sexual index (SI) and seasonal activity of eud
ominant and dominant species were evaluated. Fifteen species are repor
