Abstract
The authors discuss the traditional approaches to treatment of onychom ycosis in pediatric medicine: debridement, traditional oral agents, an d topical medication. Although the newer systemic antifungal agents ha ve proven to be both safe and effective, many pediatric physicians bel ieve that for many patients, it is better to treat in a conservative m anner.
