Av. Chernyshev, ASYMMETRY OF PARTICULAR MAGNETIZATION CYCLES IN THE WEAK-FIELD REGION, Russian journal of nondestructive testing, 33(5), 1997, pp. 321-328
The problem of the occurrence of asymmetry in particular cycles is con
sidered by analyzing the magnetization of a model of a polycrystalline
ferromagnetic material, representing three two-domain particles (the
domains in which are separated by a plane 180 degrees domain boundary)
, in which there are some defects in the structure. It is shown that t
he reason for this asymmetry may be nonlinear dependence of a magnetiz
ation on the external magnetic field for inverse displacements of the
domain boundaries, which enables the experimental results of measureme
nts of the dependence of the amplitude and phase of the second harmoni
c component of the periodic magnetic-induction signal on the magnetizi
ng field, when the ferromagnetic material is magnetized by a weak harm
onic excitation field, to be explained.
