Abstract
Six new polyoxygenated sterols 1-6 were isolated from the soft coral G ersemia fruticosa. The structures of these compounds were determined b y MS. H-1- and C-13- 1D and 2D FT NMR spectroscopy. Compounds 1-6 show ed a moderate cytotoxic activity against human erythroleukemia K-562 c ells and other leukemia cell lines. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
