R. Sasaki et al., APPLICATION OF INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY AND A KNOWLEDGE-BASED SYSTEM TO THE EVALUATION OF THE PEDESTRIAN-LEVEL WIND ENVIRONMENT AROUND BUILDINGS, Journal of wind engineering and industrial aerodynamics, 67-8, 1997, pp. 873-883
A convenient technique for evaluating the wind environment around buil
dings in wind tunnel tests has been developed. Infrared thermography a
nd a knowledge-based system are applied to this technique. The evaluat
ion system developed in this study can be used effectively at an early
design stage of a tall building development, e.g, when the cross sect
ions and/or the arrangement of buildings are examined from the view po
int of the pedestrian-level wind environment.
