Abstract
Venobronchial fistula is a rare complication of long-term central veno us catheterization. We present the uncommon occurrence of a venobronch ial fistula as an acute complication of central venous catheterization during open heart surgery. The factors responsible for this unusual c omplication and the methods to prevent it are discussed.
