Abstract
A method is described for calculating thin film phi(rho z) curves from the corresponding bulk phi(rho z) curves based on a Monte Carlo simul ation using multiple scattering theory of more than 300 thin film phi( rho z) curves from a total of 12 different film/substrate combinations . Calculated k-ratios are compared with existing experimental k-ratios .
