Computer simulation of grain boundary diffusion in aluminium bicrystal
s during one- and two-step annealing has been carried out. Different s
tructures of grain boundaries are considered. The results are represen
ted in form of iso-concentration contours and compared to the models o
f Fisher, Le Claire, Sozouka and Whipple. The diffusion coefficient of
copper is determined from the shape of the diffusion wedge of copper
in the grain boundary.
