Abstract
A new phase is found to be intergrown with the infinite-layer (IL) sup erconducting (Sr,Nd)CuO2 phase under high pressure. The crystal struct ure of the new phase is determined by high resolution electron microsc opy (HREM). The result reveals that it is a C-centered orthorhombic ph ase with the chemical formula (Sr,Nd)(3)Cu2O5 and the lattice paramete rs are a = 3.94 Angstrom, b = 19.5 Angstrom and c = 3.40 Angstrom.
