SOFT-X-RAY MICROSCOPY USING THE SYNCHROTRON-RADIATION FROM THE NSRL AT HEFEI

At the Hefei National Synchrotron Radiation Source one of the first be amlines is dedicated to soft X-ray microimaging studies. A prototype s canning transmission X-ray microscope has been installed in the statio n. The effort of constructing a next generation of this instrument is undertaken. Studies of soft X-ray contact microimaging have been perfo rmed with synchrotron radiation. Some biological specimens have been c hosen for examination. In this paper the authors describe the instrume ntation of the soft X-ray microscopy beamline and station at NSRL and show some experimental results.
