THE MONOLITHIC CAPILLARY X-RAY LENS AND THE MEASUREMENT OF ITS OPTICAL-PROPERTIES

The monolithic capillary X-ray lens as made in the X-ray Laboratory at the Beijing Normal University are described briefly in this paper. Th ese lenses are able to convert the divergent X-ray beams emitted from a point source into a quasi-parallel beam or focus it into a small spo t. This paper also describes the experimental setup for measuring the optical properties of these lenses and reports some preliminary result s of these measurements.
