Abstract
This paper is concerned with polynomial constitutive relations for ele ctroelastic crystals. We generalize previous results of [1], and we em phasize the role of disjoint union decompositions in the representatio n problems. Our method, essentially a ''group-average method'' [2], pr ovides the number of coefficients needed for the 32 crystallographic g roups for polynomial relations up to degree 5.
