Abstract
The use of multimedia in university teaching requires a careful implem entation with regard to technical, organizational and didactical aspec ts. Ubiquitous access to the learning material and continuity in the u se of media are two of the basic requirements that have to be met. By building an integrated teaching and learning environment and evaluatin g it under conditions of everyday practice technical arrangements can be designed that may be transferred to the use in other contexts and g uarantee sustained improvements in teaching with new media.
