Abstract
Bismuth (0-120 mu g) can be determined spectrophotometrically at 495 n m after its extraction as benzyltributylammonium tetraiodobismuthate i nto chloroform. The effects of reagent conditions, diverse ions and ma sking studies are reported. The system has been applied to the determi nation of bismuth in a range of copper-based alloys.
