STANDARDIZED EXTENSIONS TO MODULA-2

This article will describe a number of extensions to the programming l anguage Medula-2 that are in the process of being standardized by ISO. Medula-2 has been extended by facilities for generic and object orien ted programming and by a set of rules to facilitate calling APIs defin ed in the C language. The first two extensions will be defined in part 2 and 3 of the multi-part Medula-2 standard (of which part 1 describe s the base standard). The latter extension will be described in a Tech nical Report.
