Abstract
The analysis of spectral characteristics of the photocurrent of electr odes on the base of CdTe, CdS, InSe evidenced the formation of the two -dimensional subbands on the semiconductor surface when the photoelect rode is in contact with an electrolyte. Under illumination optical tra nsitions between such subbands and bulk bands lead to formation of sur face excitons.
