T. Akiyama et al., PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES OF POWDERS AND QUALITY OF GRANULES PRODUCED BY MEANS OF AIR-PRESSURE SWING, Advanced powder technology, 8(4), 1997, pp. 301-310
A two-stage granulation method using air pressure swing is applied to
the granulation of various kinds of fine powders, and the relationship
between the physical properties of powders and their granularity is e
xamined. It has been found that bulk density and, to a lesser extent,
powder compressibility are two good indexes to estimate the quality of
granules produced by the granulation method employed in the present s
tudy.
