Abstract
Medulloblastomas may be derived from granule cells of the developing c erebellum. Children with tumors expressing high levels of the neurotro phin-3 receptor, TrkC, have a more favorable outcome. During developme nt, TrkC is expressed in the most mature granule cells. Favorable medu lloblastomas may be derived from more highly differentiated granule ce lls.
