Since there is a lack of information about what happen in a stimulated
Brillouin scattering (SBS) cell we propose to deduce the effective mi
croscopic interaction zone of the phase conjugator in a resonator made
by a conventional and a SBS mirror starting from macroscopic observat
ions. With this numeric simulation we are able to predict the aproxima
te dimensions of the active region of the SBS cell. With this informat
ion we can obtain an estimation of the intensity and power in the SBS
cell.
