Abstract
The influence of uninterrupted and are-pulsed ion implantation, high-p ower ion beam treatment and final annealing regimes on the chemical co mposition and phase-structural state of surface layers and on the surf ace properties of gas turbine engine compressor blades manufactured fr om refractory alloys was investigated. Long-term full-scale tests of t he production and irradiated compressor blades were carried out under gas turbine engine operating conditions. After completion of the tests the physical-chemical state of the blades was studied. (C) 1997 Elsev ier Science S.A.
