Abstract
A new compound, ScCrO3 has been synthesized at 45 kbar and 1200 degree s C using the cylindrical type press (USCA-1000). It has Pbnm symmetry with a = 5.0329(2) Angstrom, b = 5.3602(3) Angstrom, and c = 7.3790(4 ) Angstrom, and its structure has been refined using the Rietveld tech nique and the synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction data.
