Abstract
A method employing fluorescent unilammelar vesicles was developed for the in vitro determination of non-protein mediated entry rates of mole cules into biomembranes with half-times of of entry of from millisecon ds to hours. This approach can further determine the equilibrium accum ulation and partitioning ratios of test molecules between membranes an d delivery solutions or carrier molecules.
