Abstract
The concentrations of Zr, Hf, Mo, W, and Th (W and Hf for the first ti me) in SDO-2, 4, 5, 7, and 9 Russian certified reference materials (oc ean sediments and ores) were determined by ICP-MS. The data for Zr, Mo , and Th are in good agreement with the known data; however, new data are more accurate. It was shown that using hydrochloric acid at the st age of sample preparation for Zr and Hf leads to underestimated result s because of the volatility of chlorides of test elements.
