Effects of systemic fungicides viz. topsin-M (Methyl-thiophenate) and
bayleton (Triademifon) on seedling growth, biomass and nodule formatio
n of Sesbania sesban revealed that topsin M @ 0.25 g/l showed signific
ant increase in all the parameters studied as compared to control plan
ts. Bayleton failed to produce any significant effect on fresh and dry
weight and root and shoot length. Number of nodules per plant increas
ed in almost all treatments and concentrations as compared to control
ones. Phenolic contents of leaf samples also increased.
