Absicisic acid (ABA 10(-5) to 10(-7) M) generally decreased K+, Na+ an
d Cl- accumulation in the excised root and intact chickpea seedlings.
However, an initial promotion in ion accumulation was observed in lowe
r concentration of ABA solution.
