Abstract
A polyurethane ionomer with a specific ionic structure was synthesized in an attempt to induce ionic aggregate dissociation at elevated, but observable temperatures. By means of hot-stage wide-angle x-ray diffr action (WAXD), the dissociation could be clearly detected before the o nset of degradation.
