Aa. Chernik et Im. Zharskii, ON THE POSSIBILITY OF ELECTROCHEMICAL PURIFICATION OF SYNTHETIC DIAMOND MICROPOWDERS TO REMOVE CARBON-CONTAINING ADMIXTURES, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 70(4), 1997, pp. 572-576
The kinetics of electrochemical oxidation of powder and compact PG-50
graphite and also of a carbon-containing stock with ultradispersed dia
monds in sulfuric acid solutions of chromic anhydride was studied with
the aim to remove carbon-containing admixtures from synthetic diamond
micropowders. The possibility of electrochemical regeneration of an o
xidizing agent on lead and graphite electrodes was studied by the meth
ods of cyclic chronovoltammetry and oxidizing agent curves. Optimal pa
rameters of electrolytic oxidation of carbon-containing stock were fou
nd.
